How Does an Automatic Beverage Filling and Capping Machine Work?
Our automatic beverage filling and capping line integrates multiple core components, including a bottle washer, filler, capping machine, conveyor system, PLC control system, and food-grade stainless steel frame. The entire bottling process is divided into three key stages: bottle washing, bottle filling, and bottle capping.
Bottle Washing
Star wheels transport empty bottles to the washing station via an air conveyor system. Clamps securely hold each bottle in the rotating disk of the washer, flipping them upside down to prepare for cleaning. High-pressure water jets spray through nozzles to thoroughly rinse the interior of each bottle, removing residues and contaminants. After washing, the clamps reposition the bottles right-side up, and a drying system removes residual moisture to ensure bottles are clean and dry for filling.
Bottle Filling
Following washing, star wheels transfer the clean, dry bottles to the filling station. Bottleneck clamps stabilize each bottle in place, while cam mechanisms gently lift the bottles to align with the filling valves. Once positioned correctly, the valves automatically open, and the liquid product is poured into the bottles using gravity or pressure filling technology. When the precise volume of liquid is reached, the bottles are lowered, and the filling valves close to prevent spills or overfilling.
Bottle Capping
After filling, the bottles move to the capping station via the conveyor system. The capping mechanism picks up caps from a hopper, aligns them with the bottle necks, and applies consistent torque to seal the bottles tightly. This ensures a leak-proof seal that preserves product freshness and prevents contamination. Capped bottles then exit the line for subsequent labeling and packaging processes.
